Tune into the latest Podcast On The Brink with hosts Greg Rosenstein and Matt Dollinger as they discuss Indiana’s 57-50 loss at Wisconsin with 247Sports and InsideIndiana.com’s Zachary Osterman.

Bo Ryan’s Badgers are notorious for being difficult to beat at the Kohl Center and Thursday night proved to be no different. The group examines what went wrong in Indiana’s fourth loss in their last five along with what the team did right in the road defeat.

Osterman gives his take on Verdell Jones and IU’s performance down the stretch. He also weighs in on the game’s officiating and debates whether calls affected the outcome of the game.

The three end the show by looking forward to Sunday’s match-up against Iowa and what IU needs to do to get back into the win column.

So tune in and enjoy. As always feel free to drop us a note at podcastonthebrink@gmail.com. We will be back next week to recap the Iowa game, so be sure to check back.

Podcast on the Brink: Errek Suhr

What better way to preview Indiana’s match up against No. 25 Wisconsin than with former IU guard Errek Suhr?

Podcast On The Brink hosts Matt Dollinger and Greg Rosenstein speak with Suhr — a Bloomington native who played for the Hoosiers from 2003-2007 — about the game and what he has seen so far out of this season’s team.

Suhr, who is temporarily filling in for Royce Waltman as Don Fischer’s color commentator, also discusses playing on the road in Madison, his most memorable game as a Hoosier and where Assembly Hall ranks for best arena atmospheres.

So tune in and enjoy. As always feel free to drop us a note at podcastonthebrink@gmail.com. We will be back Friday to recap the Wisconsin game, so be sure to check back.

Podcast on the Brink: What’s wrong with the Hoosiers?

The Hoosiers have lost three in a row and are coming off arguably their most disappointing defeat of the season in a 70-69 loss at Nebraska. To discuss Indiana’s recent skid, Zachary Osterman of 247Sports and InsideIndiana joins Podcast On The Brink to give his take on the team’s play.

Hosts Greg Rosenstein and Matt Dollinger ask Osterman about what went wrong in Wednesday night’s loss and the team’s poise down the stretch. Osterman also talks about the importance of Sunday’s matchup against Penn State and how the outcome of the game could affect the remainder of the season.

The group also discusses the team’s decision-making at the end of games and tries to figure out why IU has struggled after a 15-1 start. At the end of the show, Rosenstein squares off with our guest once again in a Hoosier trivia contest. Unlike last time with Alex Bozich, Rosenstein fares slightly better.

So tune in and enjoy. As always feel free to drop us a note at podcastonthebrink@gmail.com. We will be back next week after the Penn State game so be sure to check back.

Podcast on the Brink: Recruiting special

Podcast On The Brink hits the recruiting trail this week with Indianapolis Star high schools reporter Kyle Neddenriep and Scout.com national analyst Evan Daniels.

Hosts Matt Dollinger and Greg Rosenstein talk to both experts about IU’s upcoming recruiting classes along with the other prospects Tom Crean and staff are currently pursuing.

Neddenriep gives his take on IU’s wealth of in-state recruits and explains why 2012 signee Yogi Ferrell might be the most important of them all.

Daniels breaks down where Indiana’s classes rank in the country and Big Ten and provides his opinion on the team’s incoming players. He also discusses the recruiting merits between high school and AAU ball and gives an inside look into Crean’s reputation as a recruiter.

Podcast on the Brink: Jon Wertheim

Well that wasn’t supposed to happen.

After the Hoosiers climbed to their highest ranking since January of 2008, they fell to Minnesota at home Thursday night in a game thought to be a stepping stone to the showdown at Ohio State this weekend.

Greg Rosenstein and Matt Dollinger talk about the loss and what it means for the rest of IU’s season with former IDS basketball columnist Jordan Cohen. The three discuss the struggles of Verdell Jones and Christian Watford as well as the return of Will Sheehey.

Later in the show, Sports Illustrated senior writer and Bloomington native Jon Wertheim comes on to discuss the Hoosiers and his two recent stories on the program. Wertheim wrote a story in this week’s SI magazine about Indiana’s turnaround this season and also penned a story on SI.com comparing what Tom Crean went through at Indiana to what new head football coach Bill O’Brien will go through at Penn State.

Wertheim also discusses growing up in Indiana and following the Hoosiers and also answers questions about the state of the program and how Crean has been successful in turning it around.

So tune in and enjoy. As always feel free to drop us a note at podcastonthebrink@gmail.com. We’ll be back next week after the Ohio State game.

Note: Wertheim has written two books Hoosier fans might be interested in. His latest, Scorecasting, comes out on paperback next week and his book Transition Game chronicles Indiana high school basketball and Wertheim’s alma mater, Bloomington North.

Podcast on the Brink: A mid-season review

The Hoosiers moved up to No. 7 in the country this week – but should they be ranked even higher?

Inside The Hall editor Alex Bozich joins Matt Dollinger and Greg Rosenstein on Podcast On the Brink to discuss Indiana’s position in the top 25 rankings and weigh-in on where the team stands in the Big Ten.

The three also breakdown IU’s road victory against Penn State and discuss what challenges the Hoosiers could face the rest of the season. They also preview Indiana’s home game against Minnesota on Thursday and the matchup between Cody Zeller and Ralph Sampson III.

With the Hoosiers at 15-1 and at their season’s midway point, the group hands out awards to the best and worst of the first half. And at the end of the show, Bozich and Rosenstein square off in a battle of wits – answering IU trivia questions to settle their long-standing, bitter rivalry once and for all.

So tune in and enjoy. As always feel free to drop us a note at podcastonthebrink@gmail.com. We’ll be back later this week after the Minnesota game.
