HD Video: Devin Davis at the adidas Invitational

Strong play this spring helped 2013 Indiana commit Devin Davis regain his status as one of the nation’s top 100 players in the Rivals.com rankings.

The Warren Central senior-to-be continued to show off his versatility and ability to play multiple positions last week at the adidas Invitational in Indianapolis.

We’ve compiled just under a minute of high definition quality video of Davis from a super pool game at the adidas Invitational against Noah Vonleh and Mass Rivals in the embedded media player below:

I am so excited about Davis. He seems like the type of player that can just make things happen on the court. With his set of skills and the intensity with which Crean’s teams play, he is going to have tons of success in an IU uniform.

I love DD and his skill set and motor. That slam at the end was sick too.

    Why I like Devin Davis….

+ It is obvious he has worked on his game. He hasn’t sat on his scholarship offer and not looked to improve.

+ He is efficient and has a high motor. He just plays….

+ He has added more face up game, maintained his rebounding, and seems to have hit the weights.

Davis threw the outlet pass on that final play. Beachem finished with the dunk.

From what Ive seen, he has one of the better motors of any of the current recruits. Just non stop.

Man I hope he can play the 4 at IU. He has a terrific motor and some good athleticism to go along with speed to get up and down the floor. However, with the skilled players and shooters we have coming in, he doesn’t really have the skill-set to play the 3 here. Hopefully he can bulk up enough (or grow possibly? doubt it) to play the 4 and finish off plays on offense and grab rebounds on defense.

  • Kelin Blab

I think he can play a face up four offensively and guard some 4’s defensively.

I love this kid. He just gets it.

  • iuball11

That’s exactly what I was hoping for, at least offensively. I could see him guarding the one with his length and quickness like Watford as well.

  • VerdellJonesIV

Yeah, it’s a shame that his natural position is now relying on his body continuing to grow. I’m really excited for Double D personally.

  • throwinrockstonight

Hopefully he can be an AJ Moye type of player. High motor, lots of passion.

  • BarryNC

I’m a Chicago guy and DD has a lot of Rodman characteristics to his game. This guy is going to be a great 4 year Hoosier who will have tons of opportunities to contribute in many ways.

  • Chrisclark17

    IU baby!

  • SCHoosier

Smooth all over the court..soft hands..gets in a guy’s face defensively..now if that jump shot work just pays off…
