Near the end of the first half, here’s Williams and Ferrell looking ready for a hand off in the weave. Keita Bates-Diop guards Williams:
But Williams hesitates and opts not to pass to FerrellM. Bates-Diop was expecting to switch on the handoff and Williams has him frozen for a split section because of it. So he knifes through into space:
And easily scores another two points:
This is playmaking Williams. As the defense expects one thing, take advantage of them with a counter in the halfcourt for a bucket.
