Film Session: Eastern Illinois
As the Hoosiers have been doing so far this season, Yogi Ferrell hounds Johnston in the backcourt as he brings the ball up the floor:
Nine seconds into the shot clock, he makes a pass:
As Eastern Illinois looks to swing it to the left wing, Blackmon Jr. plays tight:
He gets into the passing lane and deflects the ball off the Eastern Illinois player for a turnover. Possession to the Hoosiers:
Again: nothing profound or fancy here. This is simply Indiana giving effort and allowing little breathing room to the opponent on defense. Blackmon Jr. capped off a strong defensive possession by creating a turnover as he jumped the passing lane.
