Just wondering, since Jalen Coleman is the only freshman listed this year, but are there any other significant “known” 2015 standouts on the IU radar?

I only ask because Blackmon & Lyles gave their verbals very early on in their freshman years (September 2010 if I remember correctly), so I’m sure there are plenty of kids they’re following as early as middle school (and in the case of Jalen Blackmon… well, they’re probably following the 2nd-grade circuit too!). Is Jalen Coleman the only 2015 kid being followed because he’s the only significant freshman in a lackluster class in/around Indiana, or because he’s the only one we know about?

I do know there is a kid from Corydon, Bronson Kessinger, who was seated with the recruits at Hoosier Hysteria.  He’s about 6’5″.

  • Incredible to see the players coming in….we finally got a good yr and now the cupboards are full….player development (unlike Minny) should help propel our guys to the next level and I thank CTC and IU base for being patient….

  • Anyone know what time this Lawrence Central vs Tech game starts tomorrow night and also if anyone else is going up to watch it cause I am and maybe some of us IU fans could get together in our IU Crimson and support our recruits.

  •  I just found it online and it starts at 6:00pm from what it says but if someone knows of a different time please let me know.

  • N71

Need to make certain the 6pm start time isn’t the JV.  Got that wrong last week and had to sit through the Broad Ripple v Tech JV game.

  • HoosierHawz

It’s Sectional so there wont be a JV game

This was in response to N71

Not sure if its a lackluster class. Blackmon/Lyles might prove to be the exception rather than the rule in terms of when we get commits. Although they are still young, notable talents for 2015 could include Jalen Coleman, Matt Holba, KJ Walton, Chandler White, and Josh Speidel

just a guess but i Think CTC will start recruiting more national kids from 2015 and beyond. He might keep early offers to minimum from here on out. Take a more wait and see what develops so he doesnt lose out on player who he could have gotten like Gary Harris. Blackmon and Gordon will probably early offers though cause there already really good and look at the pedigree. Like Bilas said were a sleeping giant and if CTC keeps developing kids well recruit as well as anyone.Like the old days.
