Thompson slips a screen for Hunter:
Hunter dribbles across the top of the key, turns back and finds Phinisee, who’s moved from the left corner to the left wing. Thomspon starts to establish himself on the left low block:
Phinisee make the pass into Thompson. Mike Watkins hangs nearby in the paint:
Trayce Jackson-Davis moves to the right low block to move Watkins away from the action as Thompson backs Stevens down:
Thompson steps right and then spins left hard on Stevens, creating space to the rim:
Thompson puts it in for two points to draw the Hoosiers within one:
In terms of footwork and assuredness, this might be about Thompson’s best individual post score of his IU career.
