Matz Stockman has the ball at the top of the key. McBrayer starts cutting to the wing off the corner. It looks like Brock Stull will set a down screen for McBrayer:

But he simply keeps cutting through. Yet, Green essentially treats the action like it’s a screen and doesn’t start moving to catch up with McBrayer until Stull is past him, giving McBrayer a head start to the wing:

Stockman hands the ball off to McBrayer and looks to set a ball screen for him. But with Green still playing catchup, McBrayer sees no need to keep moving. He simply stops on the left wing:

Green is able to give a decent close out on the shot, but it doesn’t matter because it dropped home to put the Golden Gophers up 26:

This was the kind of sluggish defense that defined IU’s second half and allowed Minnesota to cruise to victory.
