Film Session: Minnesota
Minnesota enters the ball to Curry on the right low block. Devonte Green is down in help position on the other side of the paint, leaving Kalscheur space on the weak side:
As Curry turns and faces Juwan Morgan, Jordan Murphy has cut down into the lane and Smith follows him down. Langford gets a body on Murphy, which now means we again have four Hoosiers pretty near the ball. Kalscheur calls for it on the left wing:
Curry makes the pass over the top of Green, who jumps far too late to disrupt it:
The ball is out of Kalscheur’s hands before Green is fully out of the paint and he knocks it down:
Again, just a bit too much of an overhelp here from the Hoosiers and specifically Green. Kalscheur was 6-of-8 from deep in this one and is shooting 40 percent from deep on the season. If you leave him this open, he’s likely to make you pay.
