Film Session: Purdue
Early in the second half, Stan Robinson gets a ball screen from Williams:

He gets down to the right block and passes to Hartman on the right wing:

Hartman streaks into the paint and finds Williams working the baseline:

Williams fakes the shot on the right side of the hoop and even gets Hammons up in the air:

But as he goes to the other side of the hoop, Hammons’ length allows him to simply reach up for the block without even leaving his feet:

Williams is usually a tough cover on the baseline, especially when he uses the rim as a protector on his up and unders. But the Big Ten’s leading shot blocker erased him here.
