Seems like a genuinely nice kid. It really seems like Coach Crean is selective with the personality and character of the kids that he brings to Indiana. I’m sure that is part of the challenge. My guess is It’s easier when you are a creep like Calamari and ONLY care about talent.

I just hope we can keep this kid for 2 years.

Next season can’t come soon enough.

  • Speaking of Noah and Cody playing time… do they have the same role on the Hornets? I’ve noticed that Noah has been getting more PT since Cody has been injured? Wonder if those two getting a lot of playing time is somewhat mutually exclusive.

  • Noah got a really nice ‘put back’ in last night’s game.. saw it on Sports Center..

Yeah if I had to guess I’d say Cal is probably regretting the Harrison twins at this point. Talk about about entitled, egotistical jerks. They’re really not even that great.

  • pbhuff

Yep, they are decent guards that also happen to be 6-6.

Really, Kentucky’s best lineup would have been Ulis, Booker, Lyles, and Towns with the twins splitting time for the last spot. Yet the twins and WCS got the most minutes on the team. It seemed like Cal “owed” them minutes for not going pro last year.

I wanted to say congratulations to ya’ll Indiana fans for getting Bryant. I thought he was going to come to Cuse but I was wrong. Give the big 10 hell next year!

  • inLinE6

The problem with that system is the kids are pushed to go pro even they’re not ready (admittedly most are ready before going there), because new guys are coming next year to take their seats. Harrison twins are a total failure, from any perspective.

Just a kid from Rochester, I love it

  • Hoosierkamp

Thanks, appreciate the comment. I thought Cuse was going to get him as well in the end. Malachi and company next year, cuse will still be a solid squad.

  • Hoosierkamp

I am just so damn pumped for this team now. I think Yogi gives it one more run. I am just curious now who doesnt come back to make room. I am hoping a priller or april or someone like that. I really would like to have Zeisloft on the team still, such a solid kid.

  • Rational Hoosier

If we can replace April and Priller with Thon Maker and Thomas Bryant…Christmas comes early for this Hoosier fan!

  • Hoosierkamp

odds of landing maker at this point are 5%. I dont even mind. I think we have the size and team to be great in 2015-16 as it is. Emmitt and Hanner off the bench are solid.

  • HannerTime Hoosier

That is a constant with ITHers, knowing that Holt and Perea will not play at the same time as Bryant. Pity, most coaches play with various lineups throughout the preseason, etc searching for an optimal combination.

  • Hoosierkamp

Im sure emmitt and bryant could see floor at the same time. Who knows, but I woulld assume a starting lineup would not include bryant + HP or EH. Seems like TB, YF, TY, JBJ and the 5th will be johnson or Hartman….. depending on how we play next year.

  • E Foy McNaughton

My gut is that you are correct on the starters — I think the 4 spot will go to CH. CTC seems determined to start 3 guards, but he only has 4 on the roster next year. So for a freshness and rotation standpoint maybe he changes his plan? Also, CH brings better rebounding and defense, has the same basic 3 point accuracy as RJ.

    1 – YF-RJ-JBJ
    2 – JBJ-RJ-NZ
    3 – TW-NZ-JM
    4 – CH-TW-JM
    5 – TB, EH, HMP

HMP has decision to make, work his butt off and hope all the work yields significant improvement defensively and with a chance to be a competent 4. If he can do that, then he will share time with CH at the 4. I just don’t think that will happen. Hope I’m wrong. If he doesn’t, I don’t see him logging more than 15 min a game.

How long before “Calipairied” ends up in the Urban Dictionary? Lol
