I really hate how CTC talks about how great the cupcakes are.

  • We’re still tied for first in the B1G. We’re still going to make the tournament. We need to take our bumps this season. This loss really stings but IT WILL help this team out in the long run. It’s all about getting hot in March and making a run. We’ve got the talent on this team to do just that.

Once again, he takes no responsibility and it’s all on the players. No, he won’t “throw anyone under the bus” but he also won’t talk about any coaching mistakes. He always seems to call a perfect game in his mind. I love Crean for so many reasons that we all do, but this kind of holier than thou crap has got to stop. It’s as much him as the players. They are still kids and he’s the leader.

I handled Butler, wasn’t surprised by Wisky, but this game was ridiculous. How about doing some coaching at the end of the game instead of letting Oladipo try to street ball a W. Then watching Cody not communicate or pay attention on D for the biggest and most laughable game winning shot ever is simply unacceptable.

I love TC, but he is a recruiter, he is not a strategist. It’s sad watching such an amazingly talented team go to waste, but I just don’t believe that Crean will ever be consistent enough to lead a team to the ship. He just isn’t the X and O coach this program needs

  • Apologies for the shakiness of the video. Had my tripod on the table and the guy next to me was typing away like a maniac.

  • RainCityHoosier

You speak the cold hard truth, brother. Seriously, when is this guy going to stop being so defensive and admit HE probably made some mistakes tonight?

Last year UK lost to a subpar Vandy team in the SEC tourney. Loss on the road in a very tough conference where we didn’t play well at the end. Big deal. We will learn from it. Don’t jump off the bridge yet. There is a reason that we were last team to go undefeated.

  • IU ED

Yes indeed!! It is called coaching. That is why we went undefeated.

  • Well, I feel Tom Crean is the coach that has brought this IU team from the depths of hell. IU has been through alot since the firing of Coach Knight. A loss like this will bring the boys heads back from the clouds. I will support IU 110%, now that they have a coaching staff that believes in the traditions of IU basketball and how important it is to the fans. I think they are saving their best games for March. IU fans want to see them with a Big 10 championship, but we would rather hang a new NCAA championship banner in the hall. So look out the best is yet to come…

Yeh we could hear.. sounded like an army of mice raiding the Kraft cheese factory..

  • NotTheRealSteveEyl

It’s sort of about winning the big ten too, and we kinda just blew that one.

  • AZHoosier

Ridiculous comment to make on the lastplay by Crean. We just didn’t communicate! Isn’t that what a timeout would have avoided! IU has been a disaster on inbound defense all year. I love this team but they have had the same issues all year which points to coaching. Lousy three point defense at end of games, poor inbound play defense and ball handling miscues. This one will haunt us.

So they wanted to prevent a lob on the last play and they left the lane open?

This is a game where he needed to come out and say ” we sucked. Poor coaching, poor execution” instead of talking like Ill was better than us. A little more of Bill Self on Kansas the other night, please.

  • MillaRed

No regrets on the timeout? Are you serious? You gave up a layup with 0.9 seconds on the clock. What is he talking about?

everyone believes they are a better coach…sitting on their couch…without any pressure. i am sick of the bashing of coach crean. stop! he, too, is human. he did not clearly come out and admit to his mistakes as a coach, but he did mention “the team” (which he leads) didn’t execute and close out this game. he is taking as much responsibility as anyone…which is why he refuses to bash his players, or throw any of them under the bus. i applaud crean for not placing any blame and for keeping his belief in his players that they will continue to build from this loss, as well as any wins or losses in the future. that future, to me, looks very bright. i have not had this much confidence in an indiana team, or coach, in a very long time.

Why does a loss bring out the dumbest fans?

  • SCHoosier

How many more times are we going to have to hear this BS about “not being committed to the corners” in the zone defense. It happened against the cupcakes early and continues. We are not quick enuff to cover the corners in a zone…geez I’m tried of that…don’t play the darn thing then.

  • SCHoosier

Kinda like having Cody on the bench at the end of the Butler game….so we were trying to prevent the lob with our two bigs switching near the perimeter???

  • how did we blow that one? We’re tied for first in the conference. The two other teams that are tied with us, UM an MSU, we both have wins over.

  • NotTheRealSteveEyl

Because we have lost two games we shouldn’t have. Our remaining sked is brutal. Still have to play OSU MSU um and minny on the road.

True mich has two losses but they were on the road and to top four teams. We lost a home game and a game to a bottom half team. Not all losses are equal. We have two bad ones much has two acceptable ones.

Not a recipient for a bt title.
