HD Video: Austin Etherington talks expectations, 2012 class

Indiana sophomore guard Austin Etherington met with reporters at last Thursday’s IU media challenge and talked about the expectations for this season, the arrival of the 2012 class and his offseason progress as a player.

    If it was a tough season last year, it’s even tougher for Austin this year. I wish him all the best. But at least he’s on a champion team’s roster.

    I wouldn’t sleep on him or Remy. Look at the jump our guys make between freshman and sophomore year. VO and Will had breakout 2nd years. Austin can shot the ball, problem for him is that everyone else can too. By the start of the season, whoever makes the starting five will have earned it. The toughest team IU faces this year may be themselves. Can’t wait to see them here shortly.

    It would be nice to see Austin work his way into some meaningful playing time, as hrd as that may be this season. Become a designated 3 pt specialist or some such thing. He was the 1st of the CZ class to commit, after all. Good luck AE!
