Washington Post: Stanford Robinson, Indiana recruit, transferring from Paul VI to Findlay Prep

“Paul VI is a great school, it’s just I felt like I needed to play in a great situation,” Robinson said. “That’s what Findlay Prep is, it’s just a higher notch, one notch up. Taking my game to another level. I feel like it could prepare me more than Paul VI could give me.”

Robinson, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard, said he did not consult with any of his coaches on the decision, and made the choice to transfer on Tuesday night before informing Paul VI Coach Glenn Farello and Indiana Coach Tom Crean on Wednesday. Robinson informed Farello about an hour before he tweeted the decision, he said.

“This decision was really between my mom and my dad and my little brother,” Robinson said. “We made it as a family decision. We didn’t sit down with anybody to get their take on it. We felt like with the connections and politics in basketball, you never know who you can trust nowadays. We just decided to make it a family thing.”

I don’t think I ever did that…and some of my household appliances suffered for it. Watching a team turn the ball over 20-25 in one game is about the most frustrating thing I could ever watch.

At it’s most basic level, I think people are just disagreeing. Having said that, we’ve had some real morons on here making up conspiracies and posting them. I know Luke has been a poster here for awhile, but some people don’t know that I’m sure. If we just keep our comments at trying to get more informed, which I believe Luke’s comment does, rather than making up conspiracy theories (I saw PLENTY of those when Trey Lyles withdrew his commitment), I think we’re in good shape. Fair question in my opinion Luke.
