HD Video: Demetrius Jackson at adidas May Classic

Thanks to Dylan Burkhardt and Josh Houchin over at UMHoops for providing this HD video of Demetrius Jackson at last weekend’s adidas May Classic.

We profiled Jackson earlier in the week and the 2013 Mishawaka Marian point guard’s recruitment is picking up steam as Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Purdue and Xavier are all involved.

This reel is a little different than some of the videos we’ve posted recently as it shows a more complete look at Jackson including highlights as well as missed shots and turnovers.

Couple thoughts.  Firstly, the kid is a player.  Secondly, he will be able to compete at the next level.  Lastly, he brings it in on the defensive end and has the athleticism to do so in college.

I am not going to comment and get into whether or not we already need another guard, etc.  But having a guy like this coming off of your bench for Yogi and helping Blackmon transition would not be the worst thing in the world at the 1 spot.

Jamari Traylor is going to decide today… does anyone have an idea if we have a chance?

Doubt it. Don’t think he ever even made a visit.

Also, two other players are announcing today. They, included with Traylor, all have Kansas as a finalist. Guessing KU has a good chance at the trifecta.

    That must be nice

  • He took an unofficial visit, but he’s not considering IU.

Oh got it. Thanks for the clarification.

I really like his defensive abilty and his overall energy. But he looks like he needs to work a little on his offensive game though.
