IU visiting five-star wing Jelan Kendrick

by Alex Bozich in Recruiting | October 1st, 2009

According to a tweet earlier this afternoon by Hoosier Nation’s John Decker, Indiana will have an in-home visit tonight with 2010 five-star wing Jelan Kendrick.

Kendrick, who is related to former Hoosier A.J. Moye, is rated the No. 8 player nationally by Rivals.com and No. 15 by Scout.com. We’ve embedded video of a ridiculous Kendrick dunk from the King City Classic after the jump:

I think this falls in line with what we are now expecting for the 2010 class. Unless Crean and staff can get an elite player, they are moving on to 2011. However, if there is someone who can help the program and is interested in IU, they will be recruited. Selby and Kendrick would both be awesome additions but I am not getting my hopes up.

It is great that IU is in on these top ten players, regardless of how it turns out.

Lets get him Crean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he would be huge. Realisticly, wat r the chances he commits to IU. I don't want to get my hopes up.

JK is part of a long standing internet rumor....that said, he wants to visit IU and commit if they are interested.......we will see how that works out...don't think that is KI getting banged on but sure looks like him......
  • Yeah, pretty sure that's not Irving.
  • IUKYLE94
Lots of folks on other sites claiming it is Irving. I don't know, I've seen this video posted in three different places and there are multiple people on each site saying it is KI.
  • Teddy
Ha! That kid that got dunked on is KI.
