by Alex Bozich in Recruiting | December 8th, 2008

Throughout the course of the season, Inside the Hall will keep you posted on how the six Indiana signees and 2011 commitment Matt Carlino are performing at their respective schools. With the high school season underway, here’s our first update.

  • Derek Elston: The 6-8 forward from Tipton scored 30 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in a 75-32 win at Delphi. Tipton is 3-0 and plays again Tuesday night against Elwood.
  • Bobby Capobianco: A left foot injury has sidelined Capobianco for the first three games of his senior season, but he hopes to return by December 16 at the latest.
  • Maurice Creek: According to Justin Young of Rivals.com, Creek scored 11 points in a 79-76 Hargrave Academy loss to Patterson this past weekend in the DTLR Hoops Festival. Hargrave returns to action Tuesday night at home against Massanutten Military Academy.
  • Christian Watford: Watford scored 19 points and had 20 rebounds in a 53-50 loss Friday night to Erwin and bounced back with 25 points on Saturday as Shades Valley topped Spain Park 47-45.
  • Jordan Hulls: Bloomington South is 2-0 and Hulls scored 12 points and dished out six assists Friday night in a 73-45 win over Bedford North Lawrence.
  • Matt Carlino: Carlino’s Highland club, coached by his father Mark Carlino, is off to a 3-0 start and he scored 22 points in a 73-54 home win against Trevor Browne.
  • Bawa Muniru: No information available

An aside about the moral victory poll: this season is an exception. Normally I wouldn't agree with the idea of moral victories, but it'll keep me sane this season.
  • Nice update on the players, keeps us all looking forward to better days........

Is it too early to call Elston, Creek, and Hulls up to the BIG SHOW?
  • Kelin Blab
Thanks for the update, interested to see how Bawa is doing.....going to see Hulls when he comes to Indy .....
  • I'll do my best to get some info on Bawa, but it's hard to find anything online about Mt. Zion's results.
  • MikeyD

  • I live in Durham. If I get a chance, I'm going to try and see Muniru play. I'll forward on any relevant info.

On his show yesterday, Coach Crean said he and Seltzer were at the Hargrave-Patterson game Sunday. He said Creek did not shoot well in the game but still showed effort. McLeod was also recruiting in New Jersey on Sunday, while the team had the day off.

I also live in durham and I might want to make the trip to see Bawa as well. Hey matt J, maybe you can sit on the other side of the court and you can scream I and I'll scream U. Granted people will look at us funny but hey when in rome.
  • Will there be a "Know thy Opponant" today?
  • Should be available tonight or in the morning.

after reading what ESPN Insider has to sa about Bawa I think I'm more excited about him than anything. He could be the first real physical big man we've had in a while. (yes, i remember DJ White) From what they say it seems he may have the highest upside, raw now, and he is goinig to be a beast. They grade him second in the class to Wateford. Supposed great rebounder, we sure need it

I try not to get too excited about next year so as to keep my focus on supporting this year's team...but this is definitely good stuff.

I love this kind of updates and stats make me drool.
