Thank all three of you guys! You will always be loved in this state.

I think Justin Albers said it first. “Started from the bottom, now we here.” This group got here in a rough time of IU basketball, but remained committed to getting this program to where it is now. We cannot thank them enough for their hard work and effort in bringing this program back to where it should be. Thanks Christian, Jordy, and Derek. This is definitely a senior class to remember.

No, I did not shed a tear during these speeches. Nope, I sure didn’t.

  • sycamorehoosier

Was that Isiah hollering at the very end of Watfords speech?

  • Daburns0

    That was totally Isaiah. Hilarious

  • sghoosier

The thing is, its so clear to see that these guys are nice guys in addition to being basketball players.

  • Tanner

I’ll just pretend like I didn’t openly weep during these.

As an alum, I would simply like to say thank you to Christian, Derek & Jordan for never giving up (or leaving) when the going got tough & helping this program rise from the ashes back to national prominence. Your courage will never be forgotten!

  • chiswede

Thank you Seniors, and like Derek said, take care of that other wall.

    What is he saying?

  • HoosierHawk

He was cheering for “Grandma” I believe

  • “Grandma! Grandma!”

As I listened to each mention their freshmen year, I thought about the truly unusual experience these guys have had — they played on one of the worst teams in Indiana basketball history and they also played on one Indiana’s best teams. As you said, this is definitely a senior class to remember.

Thank you guys. My family really appreciates all the joy you have given us over the years.

The game on Sunday is the best way to get revenge for last night. Give the Buckeyes a glimmer of hope to share the conference title, then take it away with a tough road win in Ann Arbor. Would be a beautiful way to settle it.

These guys are class acts. Glad to see the long senior night speeches. That was awesome.

Maybe the Senior night emotion got the best of them. It was the last night for 6 of these guys so perhaps that was on their minds.

Playoffs start on Sunday, so if we win that one and the Big10 we’ll still get the Indy #1 seed.

It is SO good to see the these men have the success they are enjoying, THIS is truly inspirational, and a real testament to the type of program IU runs. Keep it up Coach Crean, and all the best for these departing Seniors! You started the “Movement”, and through your leadership I am confident your collective legacy will live on. Thank YOU Christian, Jordy, and Derek for being such classy and hard working young men and role models for the future of Indiana Basketball, and for all the great things you will continue to do after you have moved on!

  • Simple and sweet … three classy young men! Thanks and God’s speed!

There can be several valid criticisms of this team. We have laid a few eggs (everyone else has this season as well), we’re not an elite rebounding team, a few too many turnovers, we struggle to get a couple of players as many shots as us fans would like for them to have. Many things can be questioned or debated about (isn’t that what the Internet is for?)

One thing that can’t be questioned is the commitment of this group of players. They are classy, well-spoken and they really, really care about this program. Thanks for the hard work, thanks for the dedication and good luck “taking care of the other wall” and hanging banner number 6!

From a man who grew up in b-town and who seen many players come and go, I feel these 3 Men have brought so much more than many to this program. God bless you all and if any of the current and future players are even half the class act these 3 are, I.U. will be on top for along time to come. Stick around Cody and Victor, and show us the same kind of love and character as these 3 have shown.

Just tried to watch these during a break at work. Teared up a little during Elston’s speech, when he hugged Coach Crean. Made it to about two minutes into Jordan’s before the real tears started. Gonna have to finish watching these at home, alone! I think the build up to knowing this was their last home game and all the hype that went with that was a factor in their play in this game. I saw during one time out Watford point to his head in the huddle while talking to Crean. I just think they were overwhelmed with the emotion. I know I would have been. These guys are a class act and I’m so proud to be a Hoosier!
