If that’s the role CTC is going to have him playing, I’m very excited. Yogi does not have to score for this team to be successful, just be the quarterback, push it in transition, and make all of those beautiful passes we’ve seen from you in these highlights. Is it October yet?

Jay Williams knows a fair amount about our team this coming year. Props to him… Yogi had an off shooting night, but it happens. His passes were crisp and on point, as always, and I’m as excited as ever for him to come to Bllomington.

I am a little disappointed for him though with the defection of Burke from UM. I remember Yogi saying in an episode of podcast on the brink that Trey Burke was the player he was most looking forward to playing against because of the similarities in their game. I guess he’ll have to settle (sarcasm) for Craft and Appling. I hope he tears apart Gasser and Brust… Can’t stand losing to the badgers again.

What I like vs. our perimeter players of this year is that Yogi is so quick..he can wait till the last second before deciding where the ball should go..and still get it there ahead of the defense. I can see him having some early TO problems..but a quick hook will solve that. Also like his shot..altho it was not evident this game…he was moving so quickly in the flow of the game..Yogi didn’t appear to be “squaring up” for his mid-range jumper which is usually money.

  • Sorry to all those who think that seniority has to rule but Yogi has to be the starting PG next year and move Jordy to the 2 spot. We haven’t had a PG at Indiana in year, or ever, who has his speed and passing ability and we have no choice but to play him. He is going to set up so many easy shots for everyone and its going to be an exciting season, not just because of Yogi but because of all the incoming players as well as all the returning ones.

Ever is probably a stretch. Mr. Thomas comes to mind. I’m excited to see him orchestrate this offense though and dazzle everyone with his passing. Cody’s frustrated moments of being under the basket alone without the ball should be mostly over.

Especially looking forward to him throw some oops during the dunk contest at Hoosier Hysteria.

    “We haven’t had a PG at Indiana…ever,who has…”

Even the word “quick” is too slow to describe Yogi; I think “qck” might be a more accurate description.

  •  Isiah was a great player and I’m positive that he was better than Yogi will ever be but I think Yogi is still quicker than Isiah. Sorry I guess I stated that wrong but I was insinuating having the speed and everything but I agree that Isiah was the better PG hands down.

I really hope he wears number 11 next year, it’ll be a great honor for one of IU’s greatest. Hopefully the result of his Freshmen year will be the same as Isiah’s…

  • IUJeff

That losing to the fn badgers is over. Home or away.

  • Oldguyy

I hope the result of his freshman year will be the same as Isiah’s sophomore year—national championship!

  • Evansville Hoosier

He wears number 11 for Park Tudor. Maybe he’ll do a slight nod to IU’s history and ask Isiah himself if he can don the 11 jersey. That’d be cool

  • HoosierDawg

Darn right, IUJ! Those hacks are done having their way with us. Can’t wait to see them try in vain to keep up with the HURRYIN’ Hoosiers…

  • Lee Timmer

I hope people call them the “Hurryin’ Hoosiers” again. As much as I love the motion offense, I love up-tempo even more, and I’m looking forward to it. I hope they full-court press some, too.

  • iufan4life10

He has already stated that he will be wearing #11.  I believe Hollowell has also said he will be wearing #33.

Fall can’t get here soon enough for me! I would give my entire summer if Midnight Madness could be this weekend! I can’t wait for Yogi to dish the ball to Watford, Zeller and Hanner! I see something magical getting ready to happen in Bloomington!

  • dtfreed

wow Yogi looked that good with a couple days practice with that group! I know defense isn’t a big deal in all star games, but a few of those passes were on pretty close D . IU will need to inter mix the new freshman with this year players so when they practice the movement guys don’t have such an advantage having played with yogi before

  • IUMIKE1

No more getting away with playing us only one time and that being in Hackville USA they have to come to our house next year and get to feel the wrath of the Hoosier faithful. I hope we hit the century mark on them when they come to THE Assembly Hall.

Something tells me that if one was to look up the work quick in a dictionary that has come out in the last 12 months or so they would have a picture of Yogi beside it and would say something similar to ” to have Yogi like speed”

I wonder if anyone has ever scored 100 in them during the Bo Ryan era?

  • Vinny

Favorite moment was when he missed that free throw. You could tell how much that bothered him, even in an All-Star game. Kid loves to compete.

Man yogi’s court vision is awesome ….. Love that each recruit brings something different .

  • IUMIKE1

Would be the icing on the cake if we beat them and become the first one to do that.

If that happens I wouldn’t want to be in the next practice ran by Ryan.  lol
