2012 Lawrence Central wing and IU commitment Jeremy Hollowell is one of the top 50 juniors nationally according to ESPN.com and the 6-foot-7, 195-pound junior scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists in last night’s Junior-Senior All-Star Exhibition at the Hatchet House in Washington.

Watch 14 high-definition quality clips of one of the state’s best juniors (wearing jersey No. 18) in the embedded video player below (Note: You can expand the video to full screen by using the arrows in the bottom right hand corner of the player):

Impressed with his strength on a few of those moves.  Made Cody look bad on a few others (fortunately they won’t have to guard each other very often).  Nice mid range jumper.  Very agressive.  Needs a little work on the free throws but he’s going to be fun to watch.

  • That second to last move was straight dirty, I don’t care who’s guarding him. Kid has a lot of natural skills.

    Broke Cody’s ankles…dirty

For some reason our fan-base doesn’t seem as excited about JH as some of the other commits, but I’m sold.  If Christian Watford would make the move JH makes at the 40 second mark he’d be a legitimate BigTen 4

To me Hollowell is as talented as Harris and any other recruit we have. His versatility will be huge for him at IU…as Cody found out, you can’t put a big guy on him.

It’s being said here, but I think JH will be THE prize from 2012 for our vaunted class, with or without Harris. He is silky smooth, long, good athlete, seems to have a reliable jump shot even from 3 and better than average handles with some potential wow factor, basically, the player CW wishes he could be, ha just kidding. He is going to be a matchup nightmare in a Hoosier uniform!

Smooth as 12 year old sippin whiskey.  What a handful he will be when he reaches 230 lb. and hones an attitude.

Do you remember what some of the current guys look like on the line?  I’d be thrilled to find out we have a guy coming in who can knock them down when he gets fouled.
