Indiana was the first school to extend a scholarship offer to 2014 Grand Rapids Christian (MI) guard Drake Harris. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Harris listed the Hoosiers among his top five schools at the Spiece Run ‘N Slam Classic along with Michigan State, Purdue, UCLA and Purdue. Michigan and Ohio State are also in the mix.

Here’s a look at Harris in high definition video from our friend Dylan Burkhardt over at UMHoops:

A bit off topic, but it’s been about a week……Remy Abell? …..Remy Abell?……I’m still so confused………….what position is he going to play? PG? For a year till Yogi arrives? I’m trying to make it all make sense but after all the 2013 pg’s we’re offering…..I can’t

He seems to play a similar style of game as Blackman…not sure he will want to come to IU if we also land Jaquan Lyle.

Not sure if I would compare him to Blackmon. James can beat you all kinds of ways offensively. He is very polished at a young age, and his jump shot is much smoother and consistent.

As others have mentioned, I like the addition of Remy – his size and strength will be a good contrast to Yogi, plus he can legitimately play at the 2 or 3. So, he’s a versatile, athletic guard who you can insert at the point, or play on the wing. Sounds like he brings an attitude on D, and we desparately need that.
