  • I bought the game on BTN.com how long does it take for an archive to show up. My plan is to watch it late night when I get home. Please advise

  • BFowler

I can not wait to see this team in action. This is a new start and a new year (I understand it is an exhibition againt a school whose entire student body could not fill the balcony at Assembly Hall, but still). Here's to hoping we don't turn into Syracuse this week. (YIKES!)

On a side note, is Kyle a Plumlee brother we did not know about? Do these basketball playing Plumlee's just keep popping up in Norhern Indiana?

  • Darrell

Will there be a live chat from ITH?

  • No, we're going with the game threads for now. We may re-evaluate as the season goes on.

  • From the BTN site:

If I purchase a game and then am not able to watch it live, what are my options?

All games that you purchase will be available on your account page under “My Games.” You can watch these games on-demand until the end of the season.

  • the real question is how long does it take to archive. is it immediately available?

  • Not sure on that. They don't specify. And tonight will be my first experience streaming a game.

  • jfear

the game is on btn at 3:00 am and again at 8 on thursday nite its called student u on the channel

  • Bryan

Anyone else having problems with the Big 10 stream? Video has been very choppy for me thus far.

  • Working well here. Picture quality is great.

  • Bryan

Finally settled down for me. Must have been a problem at the wi-fi hotspot I'm at. Picture is pretty good.

  • Hoosier76

can anyone give updates on the game?

  • Posting a few on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/insidethehall

  • dphattybrown

Obviously alot to work on, but what sticks out so far is VJIII on offense and Rivers on Defense.

  • dphattybrown

Hoosiers push out to a minimal 3pt lead with 2 minutes in the first half.

  • HoosierSmitty

It seems to me like Pritchard is a little quicker this year, but that might just be the competition he's up against right now. Otherwise, it's nice to see everyone getting in on the action. Watford looks like he has a nice stroke judging from his FTs. VJ III looks like a confident player this year. Nothing too incredible so far, but it's just the first game – and it's an exhibition.

  • HoosierSmitty

I haven't been too impressed with the video feed. I mean it runs ok…but for 2.99 I guess I expected more. At least the audio is on pace with the video. I just wish it was a little clearer when I go full screen with it.

  • dphattybrown

Really like VJ III aggressive nature on offense. Not going to take long at all to fall in love with Hulls and his style of play. Agree on Tom, but as a team they are letting grace get too many baskets in transition. I love the aggression when switching to man defense, a few silly mistakes on Off and 6-8 missed 5 footers away from being up double digits.

  • Bryan

I've liked what I've seen thus far from the point guards (VJ III, Rivers, Hulls), but the substitutions have (understandibly) been so fast and frequent that it's hard to get a true feel for any one player. I've not heard the Dumes name mentioned much in the broadcast though, but then, the play-by-play guy tonight really sucks, so it could be an oversight.

  • Agree with you on the full screen comment. They also need a better scoreboard.

  • Dumes is not playing tonight.

  • Bryan

    Must have missed that. Thanks

  • illinoishoosier

Not sure about Dave Leno doing the play-by-play. I had to turn down my volume so my daughter wouldnt wake up

  • M&Choosierfactory

I was dissapointed in the picture quality also.

    My thoughts on the game:

Hulls may be as good as advertised. He is going to be a great 4 year player.

I liked what I saw out of Watford. Good motor but is a little raw.

Pritchard needs to finish much better. I hoped that would have fixed this problem in the off season but, he still missed several shots under the basket.

Hulls is money when he is open. I think he may be starting before B10 season comes around.

I also thought Capobianco looked decent, but i don't think he will stay in there very long because of foul trouble.

VJIII and JR are need to come out of the gates more aggressive. When JR started taking the ball to the rack, he was hard to stop.

  • dphattybrown

Our big men in general missed a TON of shots down low, not going up strong and worrying about the block. That wont fly in b10 play.

Loved the way Hulls played along with Watford, didnt see enough out of Creek considering the talk is he is the most advanced of the group. Loved the man to man defense and the aggression involved.

Need to get back on defense, gave up WAY too many transition baskets. This is why we play em, i think next game (Howard on Monday i believe) will be a better sign as to whats to come from this bunch after getting a little film time.

  • HoosierSmitty

In the 2nd half they seemed to zoom in on the action more, which made it better viewing. Not sure why they did that, but maybe somebody was actually looking at it from a real viewer's perspective.

And yeah, the scoreboard was terrible. I couldn't see that to save my life. But for a die hard Hoosier fan, I have to say it was worth it. I need the visual.

Great Game! Great Broadcast! Go Hoosiers!!!
