Recruiting roundup: The latest on Indiana’s class of 2025 targets

Indiana recently landed a commitment from class of 2025 forward Trent Sisley, a significant recruiting win against programs like Purdue, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Iowa.

However, the Hoosiers are looking to add to their 2025 class and several highly ranked prospects are still on the board.

Here’s the latest on several prospects:

Braylon Mullins

The Greenfield-Central star is down to three schools: Indiana, UConn and UNC. He’s officially visited all three schools and will soon be in decision-making mode.

Mullins recently talked to Kyle Neddenriep of The Indianapolis Star in this brief video interview and there were a few takeaways:

On where things currently stand:

“I finished all three of my official visits so I’m not going to be visiting anymore anytime soon. I’m just kind of pacing myself out. I’ve got fall break next week and I have like seven to eight days to think about it. But my commitment is coming up soon. It’s going to be probably in the middle of October. But also I’ve been just writing things down, 10 minutes a day, just trying to figure it all out for myself, what best fits me. All three are all good schools.”

On Trent Sisley:

“He’s definitely reminding me (about IU). He reminds me probably every other day. Just giving me those red and white circles. It’s definitely good having him to talk to about it because he’s the one who is committed and what he feels, he’s letting me know about it.”

On IU’s message and last pitch:

“They’re just showing me game film and what they’re trying to change because they know that previously, most recently last year, they’ve played big-in. It was just post, out to the guard play. They’re changing the offense a little bit and they’re trying to pitch that to me and show that I can do a lot for them and that I can play right away.”

On whether distance could be a factor:

“I still don’t know if I want to go far yet or not. It’s also going to be a challenge taking a bet for yourself, going far (away) and IU is only an hour away. It’s just a different standpoint for all three schools and it’s just like, I still don’t know what I want to do yet and I need to talk to my parents about that.”

Bryson Tiller

The five-star Overtime Elite forward made headlines Thursday when Eric Bossi of 247Sports reported that he had narrowed his list of schools to four.

The four schools in the running are Auburn, Georgia Tech, Indiana and Kansas.

Tiller’s visit to Indiana was last December for the Kansas game.

“While no specific date has been set for a Tiller decision, it could come as early as this month,” Bossi wrote. “It will certainly be made in time to sign during the early November signing period.”

The 6-foot-10 Tiller has already visited all four of his finalists.

The early signing period begins November 13.

Eric Reibe

The four-star, 7-foot center was on IU’s campus last month on the same weekend the Hoosiers hosted Mullins and Sisley.

Reibe, the No. 33 prospect nationally according to the 247Sports Composite, is currently taking his official visit to Oregon.

In addition to Indiana and Oregon, Reibe also visited UConn, Creighton and Kansas.

Last weekend, Reibe participated in the Wootten 150 in Las Vegas and coaches from all of the schools involved have been visiting him at the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, in recent weeks.

Once the Oregon visit is complete, Reibe could shift to decision-making mode.

Mikel Brown Jr.

Getting Brown on campus last month was the next logical step in IU’s pursuit of the five-star point guard.

Brown hadn’t visited IU before his trip on the weekend of September 13 and the staff had the chance to host him and give him a feel for what it would like to suit up for the Hoosiers.

Since the IU visit, he’s taken trips to Louisville and Kentucky. Brown Jr. played last season at Overtime Elite in Atlanta but will finish his high school career at DME Academy in Florida.

The No. 11 prospect in the 247Sports Composite, Brown has also visited Alabama, Providence, UCF and Ole Miss.

There’s been no talk from Brown on a decision timeline.
