Four-star class of 2025 forward Trent Sisley commits to Indiana
Class of 2025 Montverde Academy (Fla.) forward Trent Sisley announced his commitment to Indiana today.
Sisley, a 6-foot-7 forward, is the No. 75 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The Hoosier coaching staff offered Sisley a scholarship in the winter of 2021 and recruited him for more than three years before landing his commitment.
He is IU’s first commitment in the 2025 class.
Indiana beat out Purdue, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Iowa for the four-star forward. Sisley took an official visit to Purdue earlier this month and had visits scheduled for Michigan State and Notre Dame that will no longer take place.
Sisley played his first three seasons of high school basketball at Heritage Hills, a class 3A school in southern Indiana, before transferring to Montverde for his prep season.
As a junior, Sisley averaged 24.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.2 blocked shots and 1.8 steals per game. Over three seasons at Heritage Hills, Sisley amassed 1,715 points, 751 rebounds and 214.
Sisley took an official visit to Indiana over the weekend with Eric Reibe and Braylon Mullins. The Hoosiers are still in pursuit of several other 2025 prospects, including Mullins, Reibe, Jalen Haralson, Mikel Brown Jr., Bryson Tiller and Nate Ament.

Here are a couple of scouting reports on the newest Hoosier:
247Sports, Adam Finkelstein:
“Sisley is a versatile forward with a well-rounded two-way game. He’s a combo forward of sorts, capable of playing and defending multiple positions. He has adequate size to play the four, deceptively long arms, and a bit of underrated athleticism to give him some bounce at the rim. He’s physical and tough enough to battle bigger guys inside and on the glass. While Sisley doesn’t possess elite lateral quickness, he has good defensive instincts and really works to guard the perimeter.
“Sisley’s shooting has long been considered one of his best attributes (43% 3pt in 3SSB). He doesn’t have a prototypically pure release – it’s a little low and short-armed on the follow-through. He is progressing from an efficient spot-up shooter in selective attempts, to someone who is now proving capable of making tough threes. Sisley may not be a prototypical creator, but he can push himself in the open floor, rock his man off the catch on the wing, and has good footwork to help him finish at the end of drives. He’s capable of taking mismatches into the post, has a sense for cutting off-ball, and is a willing ball-mover, but can get tunnel vision at times and does make some questionable passing reads.
“Overall, Sisley may not have the glaring upside of some other top prospects, but he’s a versatile, competitive, and productive two-way contributor who impacts winning, and projects likely to do the same thing at the next level.”
Jason Jordan, Rivals:
“What made Montverde so effective last season was its trees in the paint; this year the Eagles will rely heavily on Sisley as a versatile bruiser who affects the game in a variety of different ways. He more than filled that role on Wednesday, throwing down monster dunks and outworking his teammates for rebounds on both ends of the floor. It’s easy to see how he checked in at No. 2 in the adidas 3SSB in dunks this summer with 29.”
