A look at Week 2 SP+ projections for Big Ten football
Big Ten conference games don’t begin until Week 3, when USC travels to Rutgers and Purdue travels to UCLA, but Week 2 will feature several nationally appealing matchups.
All eyes will be on Austin, Texas, on Saturday night as No. 1 Ohio State takes on No. 4 Texas at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
This weekend’s game in Ann Arbor will also draw significant attention as the Wolverines, who fell from the top 25 rankings after a controversial win against Western Michigan, host No. 11 Oklahoma at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
In other games featuring Big Ten teams taking on Power Four opponents, Rutgers plays at Boston College, Oregon travels to Oklahoma State, Purdue hosts Wake Forest, Illinois hosts Duke, Minnesota hosts Mississippi State and Iowa hosts Iowa State.
17 Big Ten teams are in action this weekend (Northwestern is off), and 16 of the 17 are favored in Bill Connelly’s SP+ projections.
