Montverde Academy (Fla.) wing and Indiana signee Liam McNeeley was named a 2024 McDonald’s All-American on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-7 small forward is one of three Montverde players to make the McDonald’s All-American Game roster, joining Cooper Flagg and Derik Queen.

McNeeley is the No. 16 prospect nationally in the senior class, according to the 247Composite. He will be the 34th Indiana recruit to play in the McDonald’s All-American. Current Hoosiers Mackenzie Mgbako and Kel’el Ware were also McDonald’s All-Americans.

The Indiana signee is averaging 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and .9 steals this season. McNeeley has connected on a team-high 47 3-point attempts and is shooting 52.8 percent from distance. He’s also hitting 70 percent from the free throw line and 53.8 percent on 2s.

The majority of his offensive production has come from the perimeter. Of his 154 field goal attempts, 89 have been 3s (57.7 percent).

As a junior, he led Montverde in scoring at 12.4 points per game and averaged four rebounds, 2.2 assists and one steal per game.

“Liam is a very smart basketball player who will bring leadership, skill, and high-level shooting to our ball club,” Indiana coach Mike Woodson said of McNeeley last fall. “He is a selfless player that will do everything he can to help us win games. His versatility and shooting ability really stood out to our staff throughout the recruiting process. He plays the game the right way, he is a winner, and now he is a Hoosier.”

The 2024 McDonald’s All-American Game will be played on Tuesday, April 2, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The game will be televised by ESPN and will tip at 9 p.m. ET.
