Film Session: Purdue
Williams dribbles in off the top of the key:
He passes back out to Hunter on the left wing:
Williams sets a ball screen for Hunter:
As Davis hedges, Hunter throws the pocket pass to Williams:
Both Jerome Hunter and Justin Smith come over on the help and Hunter particularly looks to be in good position to challenge the shot:
But Williams hangs in the air and brings the ball down, as both Smith and Hunter’s extended hands are now no use on the left side of the hoop:
Williams instead lets go of the ball on the other side of the rim just before his foot touches back down for the score:
Hunter was able to come from the weak side and block Oturu last week. But Williams’ level of craft bested him here.
