While Smith didn’t look great on that last play, here he’s locked in on defense as the Hoosiers mounted their comeback. He cuts off Kopp’s baseline drive:

As Kopp cuts and drives to the painted area, Smith sticks right with him:

All Kopp can muster is a tough fadeaway that Smith contests hard:

The shot misses and Joey Brunk grabs the rebound. Brunk passes it to Armaan Franklin:

Franklin brings the ball up the court. Jackson-Davis is in an all-out sprint:

Jackson-Davis posts on Nance as Franklin has the ball across the timeline now:

Franklin dribbles in and gets a good angle on the pass as Jackson-Davis gets position on Nance:

This type of quick rim-running score was a big part of Indiana’s offense earlier in the season, but has fallen off some against better competition. Jackson-Davis’ dead sprint shows Indiana started really bringing it during this segment of the game.
