Here the Hoosiers are able to actually get the ball into Morgan in the post. Kaleb Wesson is looking on as Smith again has space on the right wing:

Kaleb Wesson comes on the double team and Musa Jallow has his arms out as Smith moves south:

Morgan is expecting a cut from Smith in front of Jallow, but Smith instead just walks right into Jallow with no strong cut and lets him hold him. This means it’s a turnover for the Hoosiers, as Morgan’s pass goes untouched and out of bounds:

Should Morgan have made sure Smith was there? Probably. But Smith also didn’t make the right play here, either, which Morgan was anticipating.
