Williams sags off Russell to stop Scott and he passes back out to Russell:
In what appears to be a non-switch situation, Blackmon Jr. makes the decision to follow Russell on the right wing. This leaves Scott open at the top of the key:
Scott has room right down the middle to the bucket and takes it:
Collin Hartman comes over from the help side to try and ward off Scott’s shot attempt:

Video:
While Hartman has done a great job in the five spot and even had three blocks against Maryland, there’s still a vast difference between him and Hanner Mosquera-Perea in terms of rim protection, especially against a player with Scott’s athleticism. But it was Blackmon’s Jr. decision at the start of this one that doomed IU on this possession.
