• Put back at 0:45 = Nasty. Troy’s got some serious hops.

  • SCHoosier

If the work ethic is there…you are looking at the “next” VO.

  • Dude can get up!

  • Aceman_Mujezinovic_07

Well, there’s Vic’s replacement. I hope his motor is at least 2/3rds of VO’s though!!!

  • RonB

This kid will be hard to keep out of the starting lineup or at least some serious minutes off the bench. This next IU team is going to be fun to watch get better.

    Go Hoosiers!

  • Miamihoosier

This kid is going to be very hard to keep out of the starting rotation. I really hope we lock up Gordon this weekend, and if so, I feel like this team will have the pieces to compete with anyone by mid January. Even if he gets pushed around early, I think Luke Fischer has to start with Vonleh, just because we can’t put someone out there in Big Ten play, who can’t score (i.e. Perrea)…. Right now, I think it’s looking like Ferrel, Sheehey, Williams, Vonleh, Fischer. Gordon, Robinson, Hollowell, and Perrea, probably make up the best bench in the league for the 2nd straight year. If we do sign Gordon, it would be interesting to see if Devin Davis or Colin Hartman end up as redshirt candidates. Coach Crean hasn’t used a non medical redshirt, in his tenure so far, but with the talent we have now, it might not be a bad thing.

  • This kid has the potential to be better than Vonleh even though he’s ranked lower. #workethic

  • I’ve had the same vibe. I feel Vonleh will have growing pains but meets what’s expected of him since he’s so young, yet Williams exceeds his ranking and makes a bigger impact through his athleticism.

Yes, yes it was. That one was from the Derby All Star Classic game in Louisville, KY. The ball under the leg before the dunk and while in the air was from the dunk contest at that game. Clearly the winner of the dunk contest but it was unsurprisingly given to the kid that was there and attending UL next year. Two or three more of the shots on this highlight reel were from that game as well.

Have been saying for some time now that while he may not be rated as high as NV coming in I still think he makes, at least as big of an impact as NV, and won’t be surprised at all if he ends up making a bigger impact overall than NV, and I think NV will make a noticeable impact.

Non-medical red-shirt, still counts as a scholarship, right?

  • hoosier1158

This guy should be starting at small forward. Will has the skills and the quickness to play the 2.

I understand what you’re saying but there is a world of difference between what kind of player showed up on campus in HP and what kind of player will show up when TW hits IU’s campus. Both have a whole lot of natural athleticism only difference is TW’s is already refined past what HP’s is right now (more than likely). Now that’s not to say that HP won’t develop into a big time contributor but I’m just saying that as far as contributing to the team while on the floor TW is probably ahead of HP at this point in time. Reports of HP’s improvement since the season ended sound good but with where he was at, at the end of the season, he had a lot of ground to make up to surpass where TW is right now. Hope I”m wrong cause if I am IU will really surprise a lot of people next season.

  • Dunks are cool, but they don’t win games.

I agree. This may be a dunk video but Troy has other vids where he displays his ability to dish the rock and his jumper is improved considerably. Its understandable why someone would be reluctant to jump the gun after the Hanner Perea results but one cant lump everyone in the Hanner category. I’ve said it before but Hanner and Jeremy were light years better than what you seen on the court. Confidence is everything for a ball player. These guys didn’t have much confidence when the ball was in their hands. That had a lot to do with who they were behind in the depth chart. I expect huge leaps in performance from both Hanner and Jeremy this year. We will be MUCH better than the national media has pegged us to be. Growing pains at the beginning of the year and hitting our stride towards the end. I’m excited to watch this group of Hoosiers. I think this year is the year of the bear. Yogi bear that is. Kid is going to explode.
