That was the defining order of business tonight. What a great game(time) to have it show up. One of IU’s best defensive efforts this season.

I said it a couple weeks ago, IU had a better chance of beating PUke at Mackey than beating UM in Ann Arbor.
Now, this sets up well for IU now that they have a little confidence on the road. Their only two road games are Iowa and Minnesota, both winnable. Hold serve at home and at least split those games and you’ve got 11-7 and 24-7 overall with wins against ND, OSU, pUKe, , Mich, at PUke, and at NC State. That’s a pretty good resume and definitely way better than any of us except Dakich thought! The very well could win out which would mean 12-6 and 25-6 overall.
Who actually thought IU was even capable of making that jump this year? I thought they could sneak into the tournament but I didn’t think we’d be talking about a possible 3-4 seed, and that’s feasible at this point. Win out, which would be 7 in a row and a big home win over MSU, and this team will work themselves back up towards the top 10-15 teams in the country.
I don’t want to get too ahead of myself because these Hoosiers have shown they can beat anybody, but lose to anybody, but it’s hard not to think that way after picking up a big confidence building win!
