Five-star North Central class of 2017 forward Kris Wilkes made the trip south from Indianapolis on Saturday for an unofficial visit to Indiana.

Prior to Indiana football’s game against No. 10 Nebraska, Wilkes was spotted on the sidelines of Memorial Stadium. Indiana basketball had a televised practice earlier in the day on BTN.

The 6-foot-8 Wilkes is down to three schools: Illinois, Indiana and UCLA.

This is his second visit to Indiana in the last two weeks as he took his official visit to Indiana the last weekend in September. Prior to the Indiana official visit, Wilkes also took official visits to Illinois and UCLA.

Wilkes, ranked the No. 18 prospect in the 247Composite, is an important prospect for the Hoosiers.

Indiana already has three commitments in the class of 2017 in Al Durham, Justin Smith and Clifton Moore, but is still in pursuit of Wilkes, point guard Tremont Waters and forward Billy Preston.

Wilkes tweeted on Oct. 7 that a decision would be “coming soon,” but hasn’t announced a date when he will announce his choice.

The early signing period begins on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
