Podcast on the Brink is back for a new episode with host Jerod Morris of The Assembly Call. The show is currently available weekly. You can access a full archive of episodes here.

(Editor’s note: If you enjoy Podcast on the Brink and would like it to continue as a regular feature on Inside the Hall, please consider completing our audience survey at this link to help us improve the show and also learn more about our audience.)

In this week’s edition of the show, Morris is joined by Inside the Hall editors Alex Bozich and Ryan Corazza to discuss last night’s win over Iowa, IU’s outright Big Ten championship and plenty more.

Among the topics discussed:

· Lofty preseason expectations were readjusted after a rough beginning to the season. What has changed to allow Indiana to become Big Ten champion?
· Where does Yogi’s late 3 against Iowa rank among the greatest shots of the Tom Crean era?
· How Indiana’s freshmen class continues to surprise and produce
· How Nick Zeisloft has stepped up big when his team has needed him most
· Looking back on the 2012 and 2013 Hoosiers … and which team the 2016 Hoosiers remind us of more.
· A macro look at the current state of the program
· Bonus debate: Greg Gard or Tom Crean for Big Ten coach of the year?

And plenty more. As always, feel free to drop the show a note at jerod@assemblycall.com.

Great podcast as usual. Had to be more pleasurable to put this together after winning the B1G regular season title outright.

Good point about how this season is more fun because they are winning when it wasn’t expected (after the Maui/Duke start). My counterpoint would be that, because of that start and the “history” of the team, it took a while to get past the criticism and the mindset that people were expecting them to fall apart for whatever reason. It seems like folks are just truly enjoying this team since the last 4-5 games.

It is fantastic to see the growth from both the team and coach. Really proud of this team and the way they recovered from that bad start and the horrendous criticism they took because of that start.

    Go IU!

One more thing … If Coach Crean does NOT get B1G COY, I would think that bias has a lot to do with it. IMO the case for him is a lot more solid than for any other coach, almost undeniably solid. Same to be said for Yogi, the team doesn’t do what they did without him. What a senior leader!
