Zeller’s putback dunks were awesome. These highlights remind me of how many big shots IU made in this one. Big shot after big shot that prevented Michigan from coming back. Great to see Hollowell have a game like this in an important game on a big stage. He was very good defensively, took a bad shot or two, but for the most part he was very good offensively as well. It’s definitely important for him to continue to make strides as season wears on because he’ll be a starter next year.
Love what you did here with Don Fischer.
I agree. I’ve thought all season that if we can get Jeremy going we are going to be tough to beat in any game. Hopefully this game gave him confidence in his jumper bc that’s what makes him lethal. He can really stretch a defense. He’s Watford-like with more potential on both ends bc of his athleticism. We haven’t seen a fraction of what he can do. It’s purely confidence right now.
I think its hard to understand how difficult the transition is for some of the freshmen. Yogi is a natural..JH and HP are rightly having to work thru the transition. That fact that Hollowell has realized that his impact can be on D and the boards is a real sign of maturing into his role. He is a good shooter but I think needs to develop a little quicker release to be effective in traffic. That’s what the off season will provide. Expect to see real progress for JH next year with the competition he will have with the Class of ’13!.
We should get used to seeing Jeremy in the highlight reels. Maybe not so much this year, but next year it should be a much more common occurrence.
Here is a highlight you missed. http://tinyurl.com/byqh6sz
I hate to see Hulls go, but I will be happy when JH is only one player lol.
I think I speak for ALL sports fans when I say, I wish he made that dunk. That was almost legendary.
As long as he can continue to improve this year, he will be like Remy was last year in the tournament. He’s starting to learn how he needs to play in our system, and he will only improve from here on out. We don’t need him to make jump shots, just play solid D, rebound, and get opportunistic buckets like he did this game.
I have to say once again how great Yogi was. Ran the offense with Jordy, knocked down those threes and frees, and to me, one thing says it all about him. When he comes out during intros and does that precise, military-esque all business salute, you know he came to play. And that he WILL get it done. Absolutely love this guy. A true field general who’s destined to one of the great all time Hoosier point guards. Cannot believe how well he’s done this year. Yogi I salute you! And everyone on this great, great team. Now let downs. Keep up the momentum! Go Hoosiers! To banner #6!!!
Hey don’t forget about Jeff Howard!
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this since Saturday, but it’s just as fun each time! Love seeing and hearing the I.U. announcers.
