Video: Trevon Bluiett scores 21 in win over Speedway

2014 Park Tudor junior and IU recruiting target Trevon Bluiett scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds on Tuesday night as the host Panthers beat Speedway 81-51.

Inside the Hall was in attendance and we’ve compiled close to two minutes of video of Bluiett in the embedded media player below:

Trevon is entertaining to watch because he’s so unique, it’s not often you see someone so effective that’s not dunking everything or shooting 3′s at a super high rate. I’ve said this before but his style of play is so much like Mark Aquire’s or Adrian Dantley’s. He doesn’t require much space to operate and his thick frame allows him to bump people off. He’s presumably a strong student being at Park Tudor and then there’s the Ed Schilling affect, which I would have to guess is one of the most over qualified high school coaches in the United States, the guy is superb. Then you add Trevon’s winning experience, history with Yogi, being an Indiana kid, he’d be a really, really nice addition to James Blackman (Trey as well but that ship has sailed).

is this the JV Game. Tallest guy on either side is 6’2″.

I agree with you about Trevon. This is a kid that we need badly at IU. He despite being the best player on his team still stays within his own game and contributes night in and night out without forcing anything. We know that he can shoot from distance at a high level of efficiency from last year playing with Yogi, but he seems to only play his game and take what the defense is giving even if that means he doesn’t shoot from deep.

Agree and also like his passing — very effective
