Junior and senior all-star teams ready to clash

by Alex Bozich in Media | June 9th, 2009

Before facing Kentucky this weekend for bragging rights, the Indiana all-stars will get what may be a bigger test against the junior all-stars beginning tonight at Benton Central.

In tonight’s exhibition at 8PM, Jordan Hulls, Derek Elston and the rest of the senior stars will go head-to-head with Deshaun Thomas, Dominique Ferguson and the junior all-stars.

The team of juniors is comprised of six “core” players. Six players from the northern part of the state will team with the “core” players for tonight’s game at Benton Central. The teams will also play at 8PM Thursday at New Albany and the “core” junior players will be paired with six players from the southern part of the state.

Can someone explain to me why fergunson had 3pts in the junionr all stars game?

Just beat Kentucky. Badly. I don't care if it's a game of checkers, beat Kentucky; and while you're at it, stop anyone of substance from an Indiana high school from going down there for college. UK, U of L, either one, doesn't matter, I'm just sick to death of seeing our state lose quality players to Kentucky.

Wow. There's a rep from the Porter County Conference. I guess it has come a long way.

kind of off topic, but there's a forum on scout saying that teague is going to choose iu. anyone know anything about this?

Wow, I'd forgotten all about Stephan Van Treese. What's the story with him anyway? A little over a year ago everyone was salivating over him and now, nothing. He's only going south of the river.

That core does look pretty strong. the North All-stars have some serious shooters.
  • I think the most amazing thing about the rosters is that (FW) Blackhawk Christian has a player deemed good enough to make an all-star appearance.
  • Taking that one step further, he's going to Michigan State.

Nice to see someone representing the 46158! Although I think that the seniors have a chance to be dominated, I think they will pull out the win in one game and the Junoirs will win the other. If they go all out, it should be good competition, but it is an All-star game, so it's hard to tell.
