Throughout the 2024-25 season, we’ll periodically update you on former Hoosiers in the NBA.

The 2024-25 NBA season is nearly a third of the way complete and seven former Hoosiers are currently in the league. Here’s an updated look at how each player has performed thus far:

OG Anunoby, New York Knicks

After a slow start, the Knicks are now 16-10 and tied with Orlando for third in the Eastern Conference standings.

Anunoby has appeared in all 26 games for New York and is third on the Knicks in scoring at 17 points per game. He’s shooting 47.6 percent from the field, 35.7 percent on 3s and 80.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The 27-year-old also averages five rebounds, two assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocked shots in 36.8 minutes per game.

Thomas Bryant, Indiana Pacers

Now in his eighth NBA season, Bryant was traded from Miami to Indiana over the weekend. The Pacers needed depth at center following injuries to Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman.

Bryant averaged 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game for the Heat. With the Pacers, he should have more opportunity for minutes, given the team’s lack of depth at center.

The Pacers are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings at 12-15.

Eric Gordon, Philadelphia 76ers

Philadelphia is one of the NBA’s most disappointing teams through its first 23 games. The 76ers are a dismal 7-16 and are two games out of 10th place in the Eastern Conference.

Gordon has played in 16 games for Philadelphia. He’s currently averaging 4.8 points in 16.5 minutes per game.

His shooting numbers have been poor thus far: He has a 32.5 percent mark overall from the field and 23.8 percent on 3-pointers. Gordon will turn 36 on Christmas Day.

Jalen Hood-Schifino, Los Angeles Lakers

Hood-Schifino is not in the Lakers’ long-term plans. Earlier in the fall, the franchise announced that it would not exercise the third-year team option on his contract.

He’s appeared in just two games this season for the Lakers and only one game for their G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.

Until Hood-Schifino hits free agency or is traded, his opportunity to contribute will be limited.

Trayce Jackson-Davis, Golden State Warriors

The Warriors are 14-11 and are in a three-way tie with Phoenix and Minnesota for sixth place in the Western Conference.

Jackson-Davis has started 16 of the team’s 24 games and averages 7.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and two assists in 16.8 minutes per game.

Free-throw shooting remains a weakness for Jackson-Davis, who is connecting at just 57.1 percent from the line. However, the second-year big man’s efficiency from the field — he is shooting 60.5 percent from the field — is a huge strength.

Kel’el Ware, Miami Heat

Ware’s contributions as a rookie in Miami have been limited. The Heat, who are off to a solid 13-10 start, have played Ware in just 10 games thus far.

In 6.9 minutes per game, Ware is averaging 2.4 points and 1.6 rebounds. He’s shooting 40 percent from the field and 28.6 percent on 3s.

Ware has also played two games for Miami’s G-League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. In two games with the Skyforce, Ware is averaging 18.5 points, 10 rebounds, 3.5 blocked shots, 2.5 assists and two steals in 29.6 minutes.

Cody Zeller, Atlanta Hawks

Zeller has yet to appear in a game this season for the Hawks.

According to reports, he remains away from the team for personal reasons.
