Indiana soars to a No. 4 seed in latest ESPN bracketology for the 2025 NCAA tournament
The transfer portal recruiting season is ongoing, but ESPN’s Joe Lunardi continues to make bracketology updates for the 2025 NCAA tournament.
And Indiana, with its strong spring in the transfer portal, is soaring up the board on Lunardi’s early projections.
Lunardi has Indiana among the 12 Big Ten teams in his projected 2025 NCAA tournament field. The Big Ten is adding Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington for the 2024-25 season.
Indiana is a No. 4 seed in the South Region opposite High Point in Lunardi’s projections.
The Hoosiers have made significant roster upgrades this spring, adding transfers Myles Rice (Washington State), Kanaan Carlyle (Stanford), Oumar Ballo (Arizona) and Luke Goode (Illinois).
Indiana also signed five-star McDonald’s All-American Bryson Tucker. The Hoosiers still have two open scholarships for the 2024-25 roster.
The other Big Ten teams in the early projections include Purdue (No. 4 seed), Michigan State (No. 5 seed), Rutgers (No. 6 seed), Michigan (No. 7 seed), Ohio State (No. 7 seed), UCLA (No. 7 seed), Nebraska (No. 8 seed), Maryland (No. 10 seed), Illinois (No. 11 seed), USC (No. 11 seed) and Wisconsin (No. 11 seed).
According to Lunardi, the SEC has 10 teams projected to make the 2025 NCAA tournament. The Big 12 and ACC have seven and the Big East has five.
