Now into the second half, Rob Phinisee isn’t able to get the ball to Franklin on the left wing, so he makes the short pass to Hunter near the top of the key:
Hunter hands it back off to Phinisee:
Hunter gets a bit of a rub on Jamal Mashburn Jr. as Phinisee drives right. Isaiah Ihnen hedges on Phinisee:
As Mashburn Jr. gets back to Phinisee and Ihnen continues to hedge, Hunter quickly pops and is open. Phinisee stops:
And throws a sharp pass back to Hunter. Ihnen has ground to cover on the closeout:
From there, Hunter simply rises and fires to knock in the 3-pointer:
Simple pick-and-pop ball screen action here from the Hoosiers. But so often the one setting the screen is not a threat to shoot. With Hunter, that’s not the case.
