Film Session: Northwestern
Out of a timeout, Rob Phinisee has the ball up top. Franklin runs the baseline to the strong side. Durham comes the opposite way:
Kopp avoids a potential screen from Durham as Franklin keeps moving. On the weak side, Thompson appears ready to set a screen for Durham on the wheel:
But Indiana has other plans. Durham cuts up the paint as Thompson begins to clear out to the strong side:
Durham sets a back screen for Jackson-Davis and he heads south. Thompson continues to clear out:
As Beran moves to Thompson on the strong side, Jackson-Davis has space on Young thanks to Durham’s screen. Phinisee makes the pass:
Jackson-Davis catches a little behind him with Young still on the ground:
And slams it home for two:
With him getting double-teamed all contest, this was a great decoy set from Indiana out of the timeout to get Jackson-Davis a different, easier look.
