Film Session: Iowa

Off an Indiana miss, Jordan Bohannon is up the court. Garza calls for the ball ahead as Franklin has Wieskamp on the left wing:

Franklin moves over to help on the potential pass to Garza, which allows Bohannon to whip the pass to Wieskamp:

Franklin hustles out on the closeout as Wieskamp gets the shot up:

The shot misses, one of those ones you maybe expect Iowa to make, despite Franklin’s closeout. But Garza is able to grab the rebound. Durham, Thompson and Phinisee surround Garza:

He’s able to wiggle through for a shot attempt on the left side of the rim:

It misses and Garza battles for the rebound with Trayce Jackson-Davis:

Both Jackson-Davis and Rob Phinisee wrestle for the ball with Garza:

It ends up knocking loose to Connor McCaffery on the right wing:

He immediately enters it to Garza in the post:

Jackson-Davis stunts in as Garza backs Thompson down:

As Garza works under the basket, Durham and Phinisee ensure there’s no dump off to Murray or Wieskamp in the paint:

So Garza spins back around and looks to get it out to the perimeter. But Phinisee dissuades that:

So Garza spins around once more. But he’s held the ball for too long. A three-second lane violation is called. IU ball:

While Garza was able to get the ball in a good spot on the right low block, Indiana’s ability to swarm him with pressure resulted in this turnover.
