Film Session: Minnesota
On Indiana’s first play of the second half, the Hoosiers go back to Durham on the right wing. This time it’s Jackson-Davis making the pass:
Jackson-Davis sets the screen:
Oturu doesn’t come to stop the ball, likely because he doesn’t want to lose too much contact with Jackson-Davis, who’s now alone on the weak side. He plays inbetween as Jackson-Davis rolls:
So with no hedge to stop the ball, Durham gets into the lane with the ball high:
Alihan Demir comes off Joey Brunk at the last second to stop Durham. So as Durham gets in the air, he finds Brunk on the pass:
Brunk’s able to put it in for two with relative ease:
This bucket from Brunk was his first of five in the second half and got him going. With Oturu not stopping the ball because of concern for Jackson-Davis, it allowed Durham to keep working until things opened up for Brunk.
