Al Durham worked his way to 11 points and four assists against Minnesota in IU’s win on Wednesday night. The Hoosiers put Durham in identical spots to make simple plays. In the pick and roll, Durham worked off the right wing to get to his strong left hand and he made the right reads.

And in the second half, Durham worked off down screens on the left side of the court, allowing him to get space for scores. Durham also teamed up with Justin Smith on an interesting set to get Smith isolated against a smaller defender in the paint.

We’ll take a look at three assists and two scores from Durham in the latest edition of Film Session:

Race Thompson passes to Durham on the right wing:

Thompson then comes and sets a ball screen for Durham and he heads around it:

Isaiah Ihnen hedges to try and stop the ball. With Smith clearing out of the weak side and Daniel Oturu sticking on Trayce Jackson-Davis, it leaves room for Thompson on the weak side roll:

With Ihnen continuing to follow Durham, Jackson-Davis puts a body on him. This alignment leaves four Minnesota defenders in a row, leaving Thompson with space. He calls for the ball:

Durham makes the pass:

Thompson puts it in for two:

Good stuff from Durham here once Minnesota’s defense failed to account for Thompson.
