Livers sets the ball screen for Simpson:

Teske sinks off setting a true second screen for Simpson, but De’Ron Davis hedges regardless. Thompson has Livers covered on the left wing:

As De’Ron Davis stops the ball and starts to recover back to Teske, Thompson has rotated over to Teske on the help. Simpson looks in:

Thompson jumps off Teske, anticipating Simpson might rifle a pass to Livers — who’s shooting a scorching 45.9 percent from 3-point range on the season. Simpson feasts on that and instead zips the pass to Teske:

He catches in space:

And dunks it home with no resistance:

Thompson’s defense was good against Iowa. But here’s the second straight play this Film Session where Simpson bested him.
