Smith looks to get the ball into Davis. With three defenders near, he looks right to Green:

And makes the pass:

Green gets by his defender on the close out:

He’s met near the basket by another defender and rifles a pass across the court to Johnson in the left corner:

Johnson quickly makes the extra pass to Durham Jr. on the left wing:

Durham Jr. fakes the shot as the defender closes out:

As the defender approaches, he passes the ball into Smith on the left block:

He spins around the defense:

And dunks it home for two points:

Strong ball movement from the Hoosiers on this one, all starting with the defense keying on Davis.

Nice film session as usual. But I think you missed the most important play of all…the towel toss! Lol

Great job, Ryan. On the 3rd sequence you highlighted, you mentioned that Smith’s dunk was a result, in part, to the defense focusing on Davis. A great aspect of that play is that despite never receiving the ball in the post, Davis remain active with screens and cuts, eventually freeing up a pass from Durham to Smith. In years past, I’ve noticed our big men show frustration when a guard was unable to feed the post. However the amount of screens and cuts that Davis is doing now allows him an opportunity to stay involved without the ball and not allow them to just block off the paint. Just my observation.

Great job as usual, Ryan. You actually picked some of my favorite plays from that game!
