I like his midrange floater. Could open up lots of opportunities for base line slashers to be fed or get an easy put back

  • We’reAllForYou82

This guy looks better every time we see him. Reflected in his ranking improvement. Great get for Archie and IU.

He looks like he can really create his own shot, which is a need for next year’s team, (although we are still recruiting people, including a certain 5*, that will help in that regard)

This kid, and Romeo, would be a terror on the perimeter!

  • Nike_Hoosier0527

I immediately think Justin Jackson when I see this kid play. Nice pick up!

  • iugradmark

Agree. It’s a lost art to hit that mid range floater. It will also allow him to draw a lot of fouls. Really like his game. He has put in the practice and has been well coached.

  • WhatsUpKnight2.0

pretty fast, especially for his height. gets the ball out of his hands quick. good potential there

  • MK

His release point and height make it easy for him to shoot over defenders. His shooting motion is consistent and repeatable. A lot to like about this kid.

  • SCHoosier

Nice floater..can score from anywhere….little work with his left hand wouldn’t hurt. Arch has got him a good one in Hunter.

  • marcusgresham

    That’s a good call.

  • marcusgresham

Looks like the talk about him having the ability to play the 2 is legitimate. I guess the question there would be whether or not he has the speed to be a 2 on defense. He appeared to be fluid enough to do so, but there wasn’t any footage from the defensive end.
If he can I think it would be helpful not only for the current players but also for recruiting because I’ve been thinking about how it seems the last three guys who committed all seem to be fairly close to the same position. It already led Henry to go elsewhere and I’d hope it wouldn’t affect the chances to get Keion Brooks. I know he’s one of those guys who you’d say is good enough to not worry about whose in front of him but it would seem a kid couldn’t help but look at who else is there.

  • marcusgresham

He didn’t shoot with the left, but he didn’t seem to have any reservations about going that way.

  • BruceA

I know he’s playing against high school competition but he’s look like a “lengthy” 6’7″. Like this kid more and more every time I see highlights. Go Hoosiers!

  • Outoftheloop

He reminds me of a very young, but offensively gifted, Scotty Pippin.

  • Outoftheloop

Great observation! He has practiced that move repeatedly.

  • KelvinSampson87

I’d take a player like this over a top ten one and done type everyday of the week. Is it crazy to think of a JM, Smith, Hunter, Thompson Anderson lineup at some points in 2018? Probably but it’s a fun thought.

  • I think in Archie’s pack line defense, he’d just need to be quick enough to recover from the pack line when his assignment received the ball on the perimeter. His length would help there — he doesn’t have to be quite as fast in recovery when he’s so darn long and can bother an outside shooter by getting his hands in his face. Otherwise, he’d be inside the pack line in help position and wouldn’t need to be as quick as in a straight man-to-man.

  • Milan_Hoosier

I think we all could be forgetting CM. He could be really special if he sticks with the program.

  • Nimbi63

Can’t they set one of these videos to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, or perhaps a Sousa March? Match the cannon fire to the dunks? Off season drama.

  • ScoopGeoff

I’m forgetting about CM… who is that?
