With a one-point lead a few minutes later, James Blackmon Jr. is trapped just over halfcourt. He passes across the court to Johnson:
Johnson gets the ball and Iowa’s defense begins to scramble to cover IU:
Johnson passes it up top to Newkirk who has no one on him and an opening to the paint:
He takes it there and threads a pass to Juwan Morgan:
Morgan initially almost loses the ball, but makes a move to the basket. He finds a swarm of three Iowa defenders there and he’s in trouble:
As Morgan turns out of the pressure to pass the ball out, he steps on the endline for a turnover:
Even when it looked like the Hoosiers had the advantage off the press here on the Newkirk drive, they still managed to get themselves into trouble for an eventual turnover.
