On the perimeter, Ferrell shovels to Blackmon Jr.:
Blackmon Jr. drives into the lane. With Robert Johnson’s man paying attention to Blackmon Jr., Johnson streaks down the baseline and Blackmon Jr. makes the pass:
Johnson darts into the lane and finds an active Bryant who’s filled open space with the defense paying attention to Johnson at the rim:
Bryant receives the ball and fakes up:
He goes around to the other side of the rim, draws contact and completes a three-point play:
Oftentimes we see Williams streaking down the baseline and he usually finishes off the play himself at the rim with a reverse. But there are other options out of the baseline cuts, too. Johnson simply drew the defense and passed to Bryant, who has been incredibly efficient in the basket area (77.2 FG% at the rim) this season.
