Film Session: Passing in the halfcourt
On this possession with about five minutes to go in the first half, the Wildcats are again paying heavy attention to another one of Indiana’s offensive weapons in Vonleh:
Vonleh gets the ball back out top and Indiana eventually resets with Ferrell having the option of getting a ballscreen from either Vonleh or Howard:
He goes right as Howard slips the screen. Drew Crawford has cheated in off the wing, leaving Williams — who has struggled shooting the trey this season — in the corner alone:
Ferrell, as he often does, keeps his dribble and gets into the lane and here’s the Wildcats collapsing hard again on him as Williams begins to come in off the wing:
Ferrell gets up in the air to get Crawford to fully commit as he passes to Williams:
He’s able to leave Crawford in his dust for another dunk:
