Film Session: Demps’ run

After burning 24 seconds of shot clock, Northwestern keeps the floor spread with no players inside the arc. Olah sets a high ball screen for Demps:

Vonleh doesn’t cut off the ball and both him and Ferrell chase Demps to the hoop:

With neither in front of him it’s a easy lay-in to put Northwestern up 45-40:

Indiana’s action on their possession comes on a ball screen for Ferrell from Howard:

Ferrell steps back after he has two defenders in front of him to the rim. Gordon is starting to fill space up top:

Gordon gets a step on Crawford and has space in the lane:

He shoots a floater that hits the back and the front of the rim and doesn’t fall, one of his nine misses:
